PHOVIA LIGHT THERAPY
Phovia is an advanced, non-invasive light therapy used to support skin healing and tissue repair in veterinary patients. It works by converting LED light into therapeutic fluorescent light energy, which penetrates the skin and stimulates natural cellular processes involved in healing, inflammation control, and tissue regeneration.

This technology allows us to enhance the body’s own repair mechanisms without medications, injections, or discomfort.

HOW PHOVIA WORKS
Phovia uses a specialized chromophore gel that is applied directly to the affected area. When exposed to a specific LED light source, the gel emits fluorescent light energy that reaches deeper layers of the skin.

This light energy has been shown to:
-
Support cellular activity involved in healing
-
Reduce inflammation
-
Promote healthier tissue regeneration
-
Improve skin barrier function

Treatments are brief, gentle, and well tolerated by most pets.
CONDITIONS THAT MAY BENEFIT FROM PHOVIA
Phovia is commonly used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for:
-
Wounds and surgical incisions
-
Hot spots and acute dermatitis
-
Chronic or recurrent skin infections
-
Pressure sores or non-healing wounds
-
Post-operative healing support

Your veterinarian will determine whether Phovia is appropriate for your pet’s specific condition.

WHY WE USE PHOVIA AT EVERGREEN
At Evergreen Veterinary Clinic, we prioritize treatments that are evidence-based, low stress, and focused on long-term healing — not just short-term symptom management. Phovia allows us to support the healing process in a gentle, targeted way while minimizing reliance on medications when appropriate.

This technology reflects our commitment to thoughtful, ethical care and to using tools that genuinely improve patient outcomes.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING TREATMENT
Phovia treatments are performed in the clinic and typically take only a few minutes. The therapy is painless and does not require sedation. Many pets relax comfortably during the session.

Depending on the condition being treated, multiple sessions may be recommended to achieve optimal results.
IS PHOVIA RIGHT FOR YOUR PET ?
Not every condition requires light therapy, and Phovia is not a replacement for medical or surgical treatment when those are needed. If your pet has a skin or wound-healing concern, we’re happy to discuss whether Phovia could be a beneficial addition to their care plan.
